Move 41: Block 30 minutes this week to build relationships only

November 2, 2025 | 100 Moves

Here’s the truth, most people only reach out when they need something. A quote. A favor. A sale.

That’s not relationship building. That’s deal chasing.

The smartest people in this game stay connected year-round. They send a quick note, check in on a win, ask about a move, or share something useful, without an ask attached.

Because when you show up without an agenda, people remember it when you do have one later.

When’s the last time you reached out to someone with zero agenda, just to reconnect?

FACT: Having great relationships with government end users can provide more opportunities beyond RFQs/RFPs posted to government web sites. Some opportunities do not even require the government put it out for a competitive bid process so knowing someone could present more chances to do business. Furthermore, relationships also help build positive past performance history which is critical to winning future opportunities.
